About Larry Nelson

Based in Summit County, Larry serves buyers and sellers throughout Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne,

Dillon and Keystone, helping clients discover the lifestyle and opportunities that define mountain living. Having called Breckenridge home since 1980, Larry offers a rare perspective shaped by more than four decades of experience living, working, and investing in the region.

 

Larry’s background combines hands-on construction knowledge with an extensive history of community leadership. Before launching his real estate career, he managed a lumberyard and worked in construction, giving him a valuable understanding of building practices and the unique requirements of high-altitude properties. He has held a Colorado Employing Broker license since 1990 and has worked with several respected firms in the Breckenridge market. His commitment to the community is equally notable—Larry served for six years as Mayor of the Town of Blue River, spent 26 years on the town board, and volunteered for more than 16 years as a firefighter with the Red, White and Blue Fire Department, where he earned honors including Firefighter of the Year and Lifetime Honorary Member.

 

Known for his honesty, local knowledge and longstanding relationships throughout Summit County, Larry approaches real estate as both a profession and a personal calling. Alongside his wife, Cindy, he takes great pride in being part of the Breckenridge community and in helping clients find the mountain properties they have always dreamed of owning. Many of Larry’s clients become lifelong friends, returning over the years to buy, sell or upgrade as their families grow—a testament to the trust and connection he builds with every transaction.

 

In his free time, Larry enjoys traveling and golfing, and you’ll often find him embracing mountain life—ideally shoveling plenty of fresh snow in Breckenridge. He is also a longtime supporter of NPR and values staying connected to the community and causes that matter to him.
